元Waldorfのサウンドデザイナー・プロダクトスペシャリストであるWolfram Franke氏によって設立されたFrank Music。このメーカーの第1弾となるソフトウェアがiPad専用のアプリ、グルーブボックスStroke Machine

12のドラムトラックとメロディトラックを使い、ステップシーケンサーでグルーブパターンを作っていくアプリ。ディープなサウンドメイキングはもちろん、スタジオだけでなくライブパフォーマンスにも使える本気の音楽アプリ。

まだほんの数分しか試していないのですが、音の方はさすが、コアなエレクトロニックサウンドです。

MIDIなし、AudioBusなし、あくまでもスタンドアローン。Wistは付いています。結構重いので、iPad2ではちょっとキツいです。
