Kirby Ferguson氏によるドキュメンタリー「Everything is a remis」パート１。芸術としてのリミックスと、パクリとしてのリミックスの違いを考察していきます。まず１９７０年代のレッドツェッペリンを例に挙げ、レッドツェッペリンは誰が聞いても分かる程に他人の曲を模倣（コピー）しているにもかかわらず、彼らはオリジナルの楽曲に対して一切の敬意を払わなかった、そしてその模倣の仕方もちょっと加減するどころか、全くもってストレートな模倣だった、、、、というややショッキングな例を挙げています。そして８０年代になり、本格的サンプリングの時代がやって来ますが、今度はレッドツェッペリンの楽曲がサンプリングされる側になります。しかしレッドツェッペリンは自身への防御のためか、訴訟を起したりする事は一切なかった、、というところでこのドキュメンタリーが終わります。とても面白い視点からの考察。
