待ちに待った次世代DAWソフトウェアBitwig Studio の発売日が公式に発表されました。発売日は2014年3月26日。発表からおよそ３年、、長いベータテストの期間を終え、NAMM 2014にて（ほぼ）完成バージョンがお披露目されるようです。
価格の方はダウンロードバージョンがUS$399 / €299 、ボックスバージョンがやや高め￥41,000となるようです。
それでもやはり気になるのはAbleton Liveとはどのような違いがあるのかというところですよね。Bitwigのエディット機能が細かいことや、モジュレーション機能が豊富であること、様々なメーカーのコントローラとのタイアップが予定されていることなど、は前々から分かっていることではありますが、これだけのために新しいDAWソフトウェアに乗り換えるのはなかなか勇気のいることです。果たしてどのようなソフトウェアになっているのか本当に楽しみです。
