スクリーンをタップするだけで簡単に音楽演奏できるiPadの有名アプリ、AudanicaのSoundPrismが、リニューアルバージョンとなるSoundPrism Link Editionをリリースしました。
SoundPrismは、スクリーン左端のアルファベットのスイッチでベースを押さえ、スクリーン右の鮮やかなキーボードでコードやメロディーを演奏します。音楽知識が全くなくても、オシャレなコードを使って簡単にアンサンブル演奏できてしまうのがこのアプリの凄いところです。
SoundPrism Link Editionはその名の通り、Abletonの同期テクノロジーLinkに対応したバージョンで、特にその力を発揮するのが新機能のリボンコントローラです。リボンコントローラを上に上げると、ビブラートやオートフィルターのような効果をつける事ができ、しかもその効果は常にBPMと同期します。ドラムマシンのようなアプリとLinkセッションすれば、楽しいこと請け合いです。
もう一つ面白い新機能は、AudioBus Remoteにも対応したことです。例えば、ドラムマシンアプリ（Elastic Drum）とSoundPrism link Editionを、Audio Bus Remoteを使って立ち上げると、インターフェイスには両方のアプリのスイッチが表示され（画像下）、二つのアプリを同時に操作できるのです。フルコントロールというわけではありませんが、右手でハーモニーを演奏して、左手でドラムマシンを演奏するのも、今までのiOSアプリではできなかったことなので、とっても新鮮です。
